Boebert Vote Against Abortion Access in Defense Bill, Statement She Backs Military Holds Because of Abortion Means She’s Out of Touch with Her District

and Colorado Values

Denver – Karen Middleton, President of Cobalt, today issued the following statement about Rep Lauren Boebert’s (R-CD3) actions on the National Defense Authorization (NDAA) bill voted on today.

“Lauren Boebert is completely out of touch with her district and Colorado values, and her vote and statements today on abortion rights and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) further emphasize how and why. Abortion is health care, and our service members deserve access to health care, no matter where they are stationed. And it is unconscionable for Boebert to support further restrictions on abortion access for service members by backing Alabama Sen Tommy Tuberville’s hold on military promotions.

Coloradans expect our Members of Congress to represent who we are and what we stand for. Lauren Boebert is following orders from people in DC and trying to ban abortion, instead of respecting the will of the people in Colorado.”
