Denver/Boulder – As abortion rights continue to be under attack, Cobalt is hosting a special event, “A Long Time Coming: A Reproductive HerStory of Colonial America and the United States,” looking at reproductive rights through the lens of history, both in Colorado and nationally. This powerful exhibit traces more than 400 years of the fight for bodily autonomy, from the brutal exploitation of enslaved Black women and girls to the modern-day movement for reproductive freedom.

After exploring the exhibit, join us for a thoughtful conversation with hosts Dani Newsum and Pilar Chapa on the Reproductive HerStory timeline and what it means for today’s fight for justice.

November 6, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

The Museum of Boulder | 2205 Broadway St, Boulder, CO 80302

Cobalt is a grassroots, statewide Colorado organization that advances abortion access and reproductive rights. Our organization began in 1967 when Colorado became the first state to allow safe, legal abortion. Cobalt believes nothing should stand between you and your health decisions, which is why we are dedicated to fighting for systems, structures and policies that protect reproductive rights and guarantee comprehensive, universal access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion.
