Denver — Colorado abortion rights advocacy organization Cobalt today endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign for President of the United States.

According to Cobalt President Karen Middleton: “First of all, we must express our gratitude to President Joe Biden for putting the country before himself, stepping down as a candidate, and endorsing Vice President Harris. His leadership has been critical to our nation.

Cobalt is proud to endorse Vice President Harris for President because she has been a champion on abortion rights for many years. She was an advocate for reproductive rights long before the Dobbs decision overturning Roe because it is a fundamental part of her values, and ours.

As our colleagues at Patient Forward put it, “Back when we were schlepping to Hill officers to share our later abortion story and ask for support against viability bans, there was one single Senate office that had an actual reproductive rights lawyer on staff. And that Senator was Kamala Harris.”

Vice President Kamala Harris has been there for us as abortion rights advocates. Now it is time for us to be there for her and elect her President of the United States of America.”
